I'm a student of the occult, a collector of obscure knowledge. The description misrepresented this book as a publication of lost esoteric knowledge. A grimoire of ancient wisdom long buried in the bowels of Vatican's Bibliotheca. Unfortunately, I fell for the hyperbole. This is a mash-up of basic pact working combined with folk magic spells, but DOES NOT contain secret knowledge which cannot easily be found elsewhere.

However, it is a good book to draw comparisons to other grimoires of its time, and an amusing short read. (That being said, I do plan on trying to concoct the recipe for glue, out of curiosity.)For those interested in languages, the book contains much Latin; I found the words and prayers to be profoundly beautiful.Finally, I will say, this text is a product of its time; therefore, my advice is to treat it exactly as that.
